Football No. 10 Passaic Tech dominates West Orange in all 3 phases for win WATCH

Not always does it translate to a ton of points, but it has for the past two weeks for NJ.com's No. 10 team in Passaic Tech.

The Bulldogs ripped big runs, hit long pass plays and took the ball away on defense four times in a 43-19 drubbing of West Orange in Wayne on Thursday.

"Everything is clicking right now," senior running back/linebacker Trashon Dye said. "I feel like the game against Passaic [55-7 win] last week gave our offense confidence. It let us know we can make plays. It carried into this week and we want it to carry into next week."

Dye rumbled for three touchdown runs and his brother Travon added a 1-yard score. Quarterback Ma'Kao Taylor found fellow senior Cashmere Jones for a 65-yard touchdown pass after the first score of the game - a 49-yard pick six from senior Jovan Tyrell.

"We performed," Jones said. "We worked hard in practice and once we're going, we just keep going. We build off of momentum.

"The offense was able to click in spots we needed it to click," head coach Matt Demarest added. "We can run the ball and our offensive line is getting better. We still have to clean some things up, but we're excited to have put that effort in."

What has aided the Passaic Tech (4-0) offense is the improved play under center from Taylor. He has gone from managing the game in the first two weeks to being a reason why the Bulldogs are erupting offensively in the last two.

Demarest attributes some of that to poor coaching, but he has seen a more confident Taylor in the last two contests.

"We didn't help him out in the first two weeks as coaches," Demarest said. "That's what happens, so you have to look at things and piece it together. We made some changes and we gave him more confidence. You have to feel your players and he's a really good player. We're fortunate to have him.

"Our quarterback is stepping into his leadership role," Dye added. "He's taking accountability in practice and working hard. A lot of teams come down and bring pressure because they see my brother and I, but when we throw the ball, now what are you going to do? He's leading the offense more and that changes the entire game."

The Bulldogs were also superb on special teams with the exception of a blocked PAT.

Joel Perez recovered two squib kicks on kickoffs that weren't even intended to be recovered. The junior got downfield twice and jumped on the loose ball - one of which was mishandled by West Orange for a fumble.

Passaic Tech has made it an effort to improve on special teams since Week 1 when Union City house called the opening kickoff. Demarest is thrilled to see well-rounded football.

"They [West Orange] have talent," Demarest said. "They have home run hitters returning kickoffs. The goal was to not let them make big plays in the return, and it just so happens we have hungry kids on special teams. We were able to make plays on mistakes they made. We have kids on special teams who want to be on special teams. That's exciting."

The Bulldogs were runner-up in Group 5 last fall and they sure look poised to make another run at a title, but not every week in 2022 was pretty. They got tripped up by Ridgewood, which they will meet in Week 4, and their Week 8 opponent in Paterson Eastside.

What is this bunch focusing on to stay on the path to success? Cleaning up what went wrong from the previous week and sticking to their brand of ball.

"Our defense has to tighten some things down, but we gave up some scores to a team that won a sectional final last year," Demarest said. "They have talented kids and I would hope that they want to play offense. We gave up two touchdowns in the first half but scored four. I'll take that any day. It's like anything. They're high school kids and we'll clean some things up.

"We have to keep executing our plays," Jones added. "We have to continue grinding and doing what we're doing."

Osho Quotes on Meditation

Osho Quotes on Meditation If tea-drinking can become a meditation, then anything can become a meditation — cooking or washing your clothes, any activity can be transformed into meditation. And the real sannyasin, the real seeker, will transform all his acts into meditation. Only then, when meditation spreads over all your life, not only when you are awake in the day — slowly slowly it starts penetrating and permeating your being in sleep too — when it becomes just part of you, like breathing, like your heartbeat, then, only, have you attained to the discipline, to the essential discipline of Zen. Meditation means: drop all thoughts, drop all ideologies, drop all knowledge. Drop the mind itself. The mind is constantly talking. If the inner talk can drop even for a single moment you will be able to have a glimpse of no-mind. That’s what meditation is all about. The state of no-mind is the right state. It is your state. Millions of people miss meditation because meditation has taken on...

Im a mum I save time doing my kids lunches using savvy hacks its easy

EVERYONE parent will know just how crazy the mornings can be when you're getting the kids ready for school. From prepping their lunches, to getting them washed and ready - time can fly by. But one savvy mum has shared just the hack to help speed up the process in the mornings. The mum, who goes by the name of Azure MacCannell on TikTok, has revealed a super time saving trick. She preps all of the sandwiches for the week, and freezes them. Azure has two lines of separate pieces of bread next to each other, On one line she spreads peanut butter, and on the other line she spreads jam. Azure then places the bread on top of each other to make a sandwich, before using a crust cutter to make the sandwiches into smaller squares. She then puts them into a big container and freezes them and use them "as needed." Azure also freezes the crust for "delicious French toast sticks." The video attracted thousands of likes, with many rushing to the comments section to share their...

Osho on Witnessing technique

Osho on Witnessing technique – You can witness breathing, you can witness the thought process in OSHO INSIGHTS ON MEDITATION Osho – Societies will come and go. You will take birth and you will die and many lives will come and go, and many, many clouds will pass through you. But the inner sky – AKSHAT – remains uncorrupted, virgin. But you can become identified with clouds. You can begin to feel that ”I am the clouds”. Everyone is identified with his own thoughts which are nothing more than clouds. You say, ”my thought,” and if someone attacks your thought, you never feel that your thought is being attacked – you are being attacked. The sky is fighting – fighting for clouds because some cloud has been attacked. The sky feels, ”I am attacked!” The sky was there when there was no cloud, the sky will be there when there is no cloud. Clouds add nothing to the sky. And when clouds are no more, nothing is lost. The sky remains itself totally. This is the nature – the inner sky, the inn...
