Boxer Ogunsemilore qualifies for Olympics two others close

Three Nigerian boxers have advanced to the final of the Africa Olympic qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal, with one boxer, Cynthia Ogunsemilore, already securing her spot at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Ogunsemilore qualified for the Paris Olympics after she knocked out Zambian Nkandu Felistars in round two of the women's 60kg to progress to the final, which was enough to earn her a place in Paris.

"This is the time for me to shine, this is the time for me to be the world champion, for people to know me, this is the time my name will ring, my family name will ring, I am so so excited," Ogunsemilore stated after her qualification.

Omole Dolapo secured his spot in the final of the men's 57kg, after he recorded a unanimous decision (5-0) win over Cameroonian boxer Sangue Christian. Dolapo knocked down Christian in round two of the fight on his way to victory.

The third Nigerian who qualified for the final is Olaore Adams, who dominate every round to secure a unanimous decision (5-0) win over Moroccan Maanni Ayoub in the men's 92kg.

In the fourth fight, Patricia Mbata lost by split decision (1-4) against world champion Moroccan Mardi Khadija in the women's 75kg.

Adeola Oyesiji's chase for a spot in the Olympics came to an end in the fifth fight after a unanimous decision (0-5) defeat to Algerian and Olympian Boualam Roumaysa at the Women's 50kg semi-final stage.

British victory in Falklands War might spur Argentina to build nukes CIA feared

Agency worried that Argentina's political isolation following defeat could play a role in a decision to advance its nuclear program The CIA feared that British victory in the 1982 Falklands conflict would encourage Argentina's ruling military junta to step up its efforts to construct nuclear weapons, according to a newly uncovered report. Intelligence analysts at the spy agency examining the issue of nuclear proliferation wrote in a secret report that "the Falkland Islands crisis is raising security issues for Buenos Aires that could influence Argentine attitudes towards the development of nuclear technology." The report, dated 24 April 1982, said: "A humiliation in the Falklands probably would encourage the conclusion that the possession of nuclear weapons - or merely the foreign belief that Argentina had such weapons - might have made the UK more accommodating. A major reverse for Argentina in the dispute could persuade it to proceed to build nuclear weapons....

Osho on Spontaneity

Osho on Spontaneity – Divine purity reduced to practical life means spontaneity Osho – Divine purity reduced to practical life means spontaneity. The spontaneous person is innocent. He has a quality that only children have, and that is the meaning of purity, innocence. He has the quality that animals have and the trees have and which man has lost. To be spontaneous means not to act out of the past, because out of the past is all cunningness, cleverness, calculation, arithmetic. When you act in the moment and it has no reference to your past, the action has a beauty, a purity – the same as a small child’s act. Whether he laughs or cries or goes into a tantrum or becomes angry, all his acts have purity – it is uncalculated. His anger is hot and not cold. The calculated anger is cold. His anger is natural, a responsiveness. He has not brooded over it, he has not planned it. He is just in the hands of nature – hence the beauty. He is surrendered to his nature; he is not trying to cont...

Osho – forget about being aware

Osho – forget about being aware: rather, start enjoying the thought process in OSHO INSIGHTS ON MEDITATION [A sannyasin says that he is fed up with his mind. I feel I’m never here and I never see anything at all. I try everything: I try meditation, I try to be aware, But often I don’t feel it. Osho checks his energy.] Osho – Two things to be remembered…. One: don’t try to stop it. That’s how you are creating the whole problem; don’t try to stop it. It is very natural to you; you will go crazy if you try to stop it. It will be like a tree trying to stop its leaves; the tree will go mad. The leaves are very natural to it. You are a mind person. If you try to become a heart person you will create so much trouble for yourself, and unnecessarily, because there is a way which goes from the mind itself. There is no need to change yourself into a heart person, mm? That will be against your intrinsic nature. Always listen to your nature, follow your nature. To be natural is to be religio...
